White Vans

I've seen a white van parked at the edge of the trailer park twice now. The second time I went outside to go take a look at the driver but I was still coming down the steps when it started up and drove away. I didn't see the driver or the plates. The white paint gleamed in the sunlight, making the vehicle look new or at least recently washed. There weren't any windows in the back, and the ones at the front were tinted. I've seen a similar van--or the same one--parked across the street from my school. I've never seen anyone get in or out of the vehicle.

I'm sure there are hundreds of thousands of white vans driving the roads of America, so I'm sure that me writing about them just makes me seem like a paranoid dead teen. But I do think that it is odd that out of the dozen or so articles I've found on the web regarding zombie abductions, two of them mention a white van as possibly being involved in the abduction. The detail stands out to me, mainly because such articles rarely have any detail at all beyond "a living impaired youth was reported taken"--half the time that's all you get, as though we don't have names.

Most zombie abductions--and reterminations--go unreported by traditional news sources, the stories surviving only as oral histories passed on among undead teens. Almost every zombie I know has known another that has been taken or reterminated. Even prior to starting this website and getting word of similar stories from around the country I personally knew three zombies that aren't to be found anymore. What happened to one of the three was a deciding fact in my mother's decision to move us to Oakvale.

So maybe I'm a paranoid maniac. Or maybe you ought to watch yourselves when you see shiny new white cargo vans parked and running on the shoulder of the road.

That's really creepy---My advice to you would be to look for the white van the next time it comes around, and if you happen to notice that no one's inside of it, spray paint it red. But don't write your name. (duh) That'll teach em' to try to mess around on your turf.

You know Tommy I'm really starting to get way to curious about where the vans are coming from, but I'm not about to find out by jumping out in front of them so they can just grab me and put me back into the dark. I truly don't understand-, well thats a lie I do know why people hate us so much, considering that a mob chased me 3 blocks after I mistakenly walked passed a chuch (what that was abut I don't know) I'm just glad they didn't cach up to me. Like they say thought 'People are afrade of thing that they don't understand.'I just wish more people would understand.

Why would the goverement try to kill zombies. there is a rason we are called the great amrican melting pot, and that is because we acept people of all different races. that is what zombies are a different race that makes America so unique. i really don't think the goverement in behind this, but i may be wrong; and if they are doing this then they need to go back to school and find out what america is really about!

that's creepy.. I've seen a white van or two pass by my house with a slow and easy drive. It's obvious to me that they're either visiting family or looking for me considering i'm the only living impaired kid on my street and living area. I doubt they would want to visit the family that often.
Funny how they say living area and yet sometimes I wish I could live again. *Sigh*. But I believe the white van theory.

That is...disturbing, to say the least.

I'm baffled by the government and media's blase approach to the abduction and retermination of DB teenagers.

Have you told your mother about the white van? Although it's a difficult concept, it may be time to pick up and move...again. What you described doesn't sound like coincidence; it sounds like they (whoever "they" may be) may be watching you specifically because of the efforts you are making to raise DB awareness. Although any crime against the living impaired is tragic, it would be an especially biting tragedy to lose a strong, well-spoken voice such as yours in the fight against DB discrimination.

Be careful, Tommy. We can't lose you.

Those. Freaking. Creeps. I'm a very paranoid person and you certainly have a reason. Just don't go near it, ever. Unless you are sure that it is safe. Knowing me, I'd probably give them a flat tire and get a crow bar and beat it. Though it could belong to some blessed soul, why take a chance? But seriously, if you go near it when no one's there it wouldn't hurt to let curiosity take over. Maybe you've been in reminiscent situations.
It ticks me off. I couldn't hate our world more. It's full of cruelty with murders and abductions. I officially hate white vans.
Regardless of what I had to say, watch your back. We can afford to lose anyone.

u guys should get a bunch of black vans and stake out the living ppl!

Anonymous said...

I don't think you are paranoid, Tommy. I think you are just being very cautious. That's good too. I think you are a good leader for the zombies, and talking about the white vans is a good way of warning people/zombies. Whether the vans are just the new vehicle style, or America has gone horrendously prejudice against you guys[which is dumb, zombies are awesome] i think that you will make a difference Tommy. :]

i think your right...the white vans have to be in some way connected, coincedences like that dont happen very often. next time you see a white van, remember the lisence plate number and if you see it again, check to see if its the same one.

Anonymous said...

wow... if they kiddnapped you though they would'nt have a way to "kill" you so to speak... would they?

Thanks, everyone, for your concern. It is a pretty creepy situation.

Savannahh--no violence from me. That's not how I roll.

Phoebe and FrozenInsomniac--no vandalism from me, either. NHIR (Not how I roll.)

Elizabeth--take GloryDazed advice and tell your parents. The first thing I did when I got back was discuss things with Faith.

And P.S> GloryDazed--thanks. That means a lot.

Converse_girl93--See above

dolcebella--Ha! I'd have to get a trad friend to drive, though.

Brit--Thanks.

MermaidBubbles--You are joking, right? Besides, candy isn't much of an attraction now.

chewythezombie--there are worse things than death (great screen name, btw)

Kelsey--No, I'm not.

Julia--Who is Tommy Wilson? But I know what you mean, about the entire life being a lie, thing.

Again, thanks, everybody. Look both ways when you cross the street--and again, after you've crossed it.

oh, jeez...Tommy, that is seriously paranoia-inducing. Those white vans...they probably were taking the zomb--I mean, differently biotic kids...or zombies, if you prefer I call you that. But whatever. I seriously think that something is way off with those vans. "Off" as in "weird". I'm with you all the way! Never forget that! I support you wholly!

read the title, thought you were talking about shoes. stupid i'll admit, but i have white slipons, so it's ot entirely so far fetched.

i think you should have published your own zombie newspaper thing and put it in local businesses and stuffed them in mailboxes. your writing is good enough. and not everyone will read them, granted most people will just throw it out, but you'll snatch the attention of some sympathetic, stay at home mom. sorry, "homemaker." i'm sure principal kim would have sponsered it, she seemed nice enough. or the non-predjudice bus driver! that one made me lol. (:

I think I'm with igoth, I don't think it's the Government doing this, it's more like an occult. :( At any rate, be careful Tommy.

Well i dont really turst alot of ault's because i dont know any that dont think im evil or a demon my friends mom and dad dont let me in the house so i dont think thay like me

Tommy, my advice to you would be to tell all zombies NOT TO TRAVEL ALONE OR STAY IN ONE PLACE ALONE. Potential abduction targets would be individuals. If your fellow zombies need to go anywhere, go in groups of two or threes. Numbers mean safety.

Who are the people in the vans? Personally, I would think it would be a branch of the scientific community. You are a puzzle they want to crack. We live in a capitalist society. The ones to crack the secret of the 'zombie mystery' would get acclaim and financial reward. Also, the cracking of the puzzle might lead to dark avenues of experimentation. Regardless, make your fellow zombies aware that they need to stay together for safety purposes.

You're definitely not being paranoid Tommy. Being a zombie, there are several people out there who don't want you... alive, if you'll excuse the term due to my lack to find a better word. I've seen a white van lurking around my neighborhood every day around noon, and everytime it gets within twenty feet of my house, I immediatley shrink back and draw the curtains. Anyways, stay cautious. You might want to tell somebody, because it might just be time to get the heck out of there.

Much love//Sol

Crap. My family has a white van... just like the one you were describing. Wow. Call yourself paranoid. I think my parents are zombie killers.

i think its terrible that people would even think about committing such a crime agianst zombies they are just people living or nawt they are just like every one else so what if they died so what if they puse when they speak who cares its nawt like they are maneating monsters they are just people who desirve rights too people should nawt judge them untill they truely get to know one but even then its just playing out wrong

Anonymous said...

way to go phoebe i would totaly date a zombie too

This is really cool, lol, I can really read tommy's blogs. Ha ha. What is up with those white vans? Their a bunch of crazies for wanting to hurt people just because their zombies. Wouldn't it be ironic if one of the people in the white vans became a zombie?

Anonymous said...

Julia and Kelsy,

White vans? Crap, I've seen one around my naborhood, that may be why I don't know any living impaired people. And I live in a small town. And Pheobe, I would spray paint but all out, or maybe not....idk. And the bad thing is my best demon friend has seen them too...weird....wounder if its my not so friend Trever, I swear Trever is in coherts with Pete M. or I'm a paranoid trad, either way. I better get to investigating. Wish me luck. It I come back as a living impaired, you know what happened.
